To Have Blood or Not to have Blood

I took Brailee to the Doctor yesterday and she had to have some blood drawn. She's never had blood drawn before. She of course was wigging out. But she snapped into braveness when she saw the needle and knew she had to get control of herself. Then she did awesome! After we left, she was very concerned about the fact that they took blood out of her body.
"How can they just take the blood out. I mean, don't they have to even ask me first?" Then I had a wonderful "mom" moment as I had to explain that they did ask and I was the one who told them that they could. She asked, "Well, what are they going to do with my blood? Are they going to put it back when they are done?" I laughed and told her that she had plenty of blood in her body and it wasn't a bad thing to loose some. It's even healthy! But she wasn't buying it. She was very concerned. As we were driving home she held out both her arms and asked, "Hey Mom! Guess which arm is heaver!" I had no idea what she was getting at and very questioningly asked, "Uh, the one that has a band-aid on it?" She replied, "No! The one that has more blood in it!"
